Why Jersey City Is The Best Alternative To Manhattan
A few months ago, CNBC.com published an article dedicated to why Jersey City is a great alternative to Manhattan. After reading this story, we’ve decided to put together our own list that highlights why Jersey City is the best place to live.
1) The PATH train, the ferry and the NJ Transit light rail allow quick and easy access
All three means of transportation make the commute between Manhattan and Jersey City, as well as navigating through Jersey City, quick and easy. 99 Hudson is just 1 stop from downtown Manhattan and is located right in front of where the ferry and light rail let out!

2) Less crowded, more family-friendly
Although Brooklyn is often thought of as the best alternative to Manhattan due to the close proximity and cheaper prices, the borough is now jammed packed with people. Jersey City offers residents a calmer, less congested neighborhood to live. This relaxing environment is perfect for raising families, especially because of the close proximity to great schools.

3) Option to have a car
Some people prefer the luxury of owning a car in the city. For Manhattan dwellers, this is not always ideal, as there are limited spaces for parking and those available will cost a hefty chunk of change. In Jersey City, there is ample space for parking. It is also much easier to drive around here. For those who prefer utilizing public transportation, as noted above, Jersey City has a seamless system, making it easy for those without a car.

4) There are a lot of fun things to do in the neighborhood

Head to downtown Jersey City on Mondays and Thursdays for the farmers market, or pop in to the many shops and cafes for a fun day of retail therapy.. 5) More reasonable prices
Last, but certainly not least, one of the main reasons most buyers are attracted to the area is for lower housing prices. Luxury living is more reasonable and a fraction of the cost of what you could get in Manhattan. With all these points, it is hard to turn down the opportunity to live in Jersey City!
