In case you didn’t know, Jersey City is the place to be on the Fourth of July. If you’re lucky, you can catch the Annual Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show from one of Jersey City’s many great vantage points. We heard that this will be the largest Fourth of July fireworks display in New Jersey state history. We’ve rounded up the best spots to enjoy this incredible show in Jersey City.  

Freedom + Fireworks Festival

Exchange Place, Montgomery at the Hudson River Noon – 10 P.M.     Attend the 5th annual Jersey City 4th of July fireworks festival. The carnival opens at noon. Enjoy great food with an eclectic selection of food trucks, drinks from several different beer gardens, great company, and performances. This year, Snoop Dogg is the headlining performer. The concert stage will be set up near the Katyn Memorial at Exchange Place.  

Fireworks Cruise by Midnight Market Jersey City

Lincoln Harbor Marina 7 P.M.     The best way to experience the fireworks show is on the water. The bright colors reflecting off the river is truly a breathtaking sight you won’t want to miss. For a more exclusive event, hop on the boat taking off from Weehawken and see for yourself! This 4-hour cruise is strictly for adults, 21+. Tickets range from $175 - $400.  

Lutze Biergarten

Calling all beer lovers: stop by Jersey City’s, family-friendly, waterfront beer garden venue for a special 4th of July party. The location affords incredible views of the Manhattan skyline, perfect for the fireworks show viewing. Go early in the day, as it will for sure be a packed house by sunset.  

Jersey City 4th of July Party hosted by Downtown Community Church

Morris Canal Park 6 – 10 P.M.   Another family-friendly spot to hang around is Morris Canal Park. Bring a blanket and dinner to relax, play some outdoor games and enjoy the sunset with your family. This event is free and open to the public.
